The problem isn't that the merch is overpriced I can just not buy it. Casio and citizen have many analog style quartz watches for under $100 that are actually well built. MDV106-1AV is a good dive watch and you can get it for $50. You can even get a citizen eco drive (quartz but solar charge dial so no need to change batteries) for around $150-200 depending on the styling. Timex has lots of options as well. For the price of this gura watch you could get a seiko that is actually more worth $200

I just dont get why Cover doesnt do some merch collabs with actual reputable brands. Seiko has a nausicaa limited watch that was $1600 and people at that up from what i could tell. Why is it these lower brands that feel much more of a rip off when you add the brand tax in? I don't think Gura would ever agree to merch that expensive though. $200 is nothing for a watch, but it's way too much for the watch they're selling. Yeah I probably agree with you but there are so many anime statues that are $500 or more and those are useless plastic. A nice male fashion accessory seems like something she could be convinced to put out. It's really hard to tell how that watch is going to be. Obviously its overpriced but that doesnt mean its going to be garbage, it could easily be the kind of thing you get and are perfectly happy to wear and might even get complements. Not really. The design looks fine but the movement and the actual watch materials are going to be horrible for the price. What do you think will look so bad about them? I'm not sure how well mineral crystal holds up compared to sapphire so id be concerned about scratching but the case and bracelet being stainless steel seem fine to me. I really can't tell from the pictures what the dial will look like in person but thats just me. The hoodie was much more confusing. $200+ for a watch sure i can understand but a basic hoodie just seems very weird, at first i thought the site was just fucked up. I dont really wear hoodies though so doesnt bother me but having got back into watches recently this is very tempting (i almost got the naussica seiko too). It's not just the look, it's going to be the feel and the durability, and everything else that you would care about if you actually planned to wear it. If you just want to put it on display then I guess it's not a huge deal. I can tell a huge difference in feel between my less than $50 watches and the ones over $300, and those aren't even close to top tier watches. If I'm spending that much on a watch like that I'd like to be able to wear it and to subtly show off that I'm a fan of my sharkwife, but I just have a lot of concerns as to how well it will wear and hold up.

Btw, not only did he change his schedule, he started playing games around 4 AM to 2 PM Sweden time nearly every day the week of fes. That's around 11AM to 9 PM JST. He never does that.
He was either in Japan and playing games on a laptop while Gura was going to the convention floor and meetings all day or he changed his entire sleep schedule so he could be awake the same hours Gura was in Japan.
Also, he stopped all activity for a week before she left for Japan and stopped all activity again the day she traveled to Taiwan.

Omega just doesnt feel like it fits gura's styling, and i mostly mention grand seiko because japanese and it sounds like gura, the grand gura seiko. They have some great looking dials in blue already and could make something really neat with small gura stylings. They also have a Presage line thats in the $2k price range which would also fit but id love a spring drive gura watch, that will never happen though. But yeah any nice gura watch that i would regularly wear would be amazing. I still don't understand why the year of a watch have any relevance. If its a model thats been made for a while youre still getting a newly produced product. There’s literally 3 types of watch glasses. With the cheapest type being Acrylic but they are using mineral. The movement type is quartz the same as most seiko, casio and pretty much most watches that aren’t swiss designers.
