It's actually impossible that this happened. Management needed to approve of perms before anything was ever drawn. That's how videos get made to begin with. They had the storyboards, so they absolutely knew who was going to be in there. It's completely unrealistic for a company of their size that it was the first time they'd ever seen the contents, even if it was the first time they'd seen the completed project.
They also know that a video's most crucial time to gain traction in the algorithm is its launch window, ESPECIALLY during christmas. Privating the video for a simple permissions check (for their own IP) is effectively a death sentence in the algorithm when a competent manager would have just given her a write up or penalty and left the video up to continue to gain traction. After all, it was simply a permissions check for their own IP which somehow took... several days? Who exactly was at risk here? Are they going to sue themselves for using their IP if they don't take down the video?
