This week Shiori Novella graced her fans with a watchalong of the 2001 Lord of the Rings which is meant to lead into a series involving the entire trilogy and perhaps even the Hobbit on a later date. This is an unusual situation as the trilogy is widely considered a must watch in nerd circles and not watching a capital offense in NZ but Shiori Novella managed a Bae-esque omission of this conventional nerd staple

The real draw of this watchalong is Shioris honest and earnest reaction to the beloved fantasy staple. After the recent Twilight series caused her little but torment and the entertainment based on mockery of a laughably bad series seeing genuine enjoyment from a certified classic is an exemplary turnaround.

Shiori is often noted for her tangents/rants and ADHD nature however the LOTR manages to keep her focused and entertained the whole time. Despite not even any cultural exposure to the series quickly became attached to mant of the characters becoming fearful of potential death flags for many of the Fellowship soon after it was formed. Her lack of exposure to the material in book movie or even 1970s cartoon forms of this story hits with a purity that reminds of us why we love LOTR and its far reaching legacy. Many of us know elements of the story through cultural osmosis or memes. Much like we know what happened to Lukes father or the origin of Rosebud and it never hits us as hard. Shiori is hit full on by all the events and twists of the story. Several times she holds back of tears or gushes at heartfelt moments between characters in the shire. These are the moments that fans live for when they reccomend a top of the line movie for a watchalong

The genie is out of the bottle right now as far as dying or black corpos are concerned, it will be done because the consequences are literally negligible for the mods. I think for the most part though, mods will tow the line and be respectful of the company if the graduation was a mutual thing since we did see graduations after Selen that didn't have the PL/RM revolt happen such as V4Mirai having Biscotti graduating.
But I think in general, the current situation and disallowed talk of a Vtuber's career should be allowed, it makes no sense for any discussion of a performing artist to have those kinds of restrictions in public discussion, even though it would require tact. The closest you can tie this to is something like voice acting. Imagine if we couldn't, for instance, discuss Sugita's career as Kyon or Gintoki or Joseph Joestar but could only discuss his current role in The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash as the head of some adventurer's party. I do think some discretion is needed there such as it needing to be pushed to elsewhere other than the current role the person is playing but I don't think it should necessarily be banned discussion.

Usually, people want to discuss the financial health of the company and that doesn't get deep into the weeds about CCV and etc. for each individual talent. I’ve taken a look to see what /vnug/ the V&U general + other Korean vtubers thread had to say about Amano Serafi termination and lawsuit letters and it seems most of them side with the company.
This looks like /jidf/ idol corp fans also siding with their company HOWEVER idol published a short and professional termination letter while V&U tried to bill Serafi a total of 450thousand dollars.
Furthermore /vnug/ has a negative view of Serafi, like /jidf/ di of Pochi, except /jidf/ hates pochi for ghosting and being too lazy to complete the donothon promises her fans paid for while a majority of /vnug/ hates Serafi for allegedly courting drama, being a drama magnet, saying controversial opinions, and getting into fights.

I've mostly been tuned out since Selen got terminated, so I can't confirm anything recent. So far what has been said checks out. I'd also like to add the following:

All of these signs combined with the rrat point towards an upcoming graduation, but they're only pointing in that direction; no hard confirmation. Finana still has friends she turns to in Nijisanji. She's also making an attempt to change up her content again, but there wouldn't be a point if she was dead set on graduation. She's probably lost right now and is trying to get back up on her feet before making any hard decisions, but it really does sound like it's taking its mental toll on her. Unlike Selen and Pomu, Finana doesn't have a very big safety net to jump into and I believe she's acutely aware of this.
