i wash my rice, but i grew up in a household where we just put the rice straight into the rice cooker without washing. not much of a difference. i think the only reason to wash is to rinse off excess starch, which makes the rice less sticky, which can be good for things like fried rice, but you shouldn't be using highly starched rices (like short-grain sushi rice) for that anyways.

Serafi and Pochi both seem to be trying to go the Dokibird route which makes sense when you see the incredible numbers that Doki has pulled as a result, you can see why a greedy person would see an opportunity there. Keep in mind Doki also brought in a lot of people who don't normally watch vtubers so this kind of drama bullshit tends to reach the wider internet somehow.
But I think the difference with Doki is that it was genuine while Serafi and Pochi are both trying to manufacture a situation. Sadly there are some very stupid people who will fall for it regardless, but I personally think that since there's no actual substance to the allegations, it will all blow over.
