Yeah I think that's a huge part of it, fujos will literally eat crumbs and call it a feast. The boy I was watching yesterday namedropped his genmate offhandedly for like a single sentence but it sent me into a ship spiral for HOURS, I'm STILL thinking about it.

God saaamme. Years ago I thought it was just me but I started interacting with other fujos online and it's like we have this superpower where the tiniest thing can spawn dozens of ideas. And then those ideas turn into more ideas. Sometimes I have so many at one time I forget them before I can write it down somewhere. Fujoshi are so powerful, we truly have a gift from God.
Yeah it's really sad that everyone throws around the word parasocial without knowing what it means. It's a bit of a weird state right now. Some aspiring male VTubers do come to this thread often for advice, which is harmless itself, but they tend to ask very basic questions like "how to be cute boy and be popular?" which nobody would have a concrete answer to, and the whole "just be yourself" thing repeats too often. And then there's aspiring indie male VTubers who do use this general just to shill themselves. I don't think every indie boy poster here is a self-shill, I just think people are more cautious now. Plus, even when there's well-known male indies out there, all they do is either spam collabs with a lot of girls involved, or they just seem to use VTubing as another get big quick thing, at least from my experience.
