I never want them to a "staple new people to an existing gen" ever again, VG felt like it was something to flesh out blindspots in demographics in HQ, not be its own thing, and I think their gen's identity really suffered as a result.

I'm reading it myself and while I can understand the context in which it was written (dumbass Chinese nobles warring with each other and one guy having common sense and practicality), all of the people reading it and hyping it up are the very same people that promptly ignore what it's saying and live by their botched 'twist' of it that makes sense in their heads. Sun Tzu also could not have seen the military industrial complex coming and war becoming insanely profitable as a result.
