Always felt that was one of the strengths of Vtubing. Still do get the really crazy para-socials, that will follow you on everything, who saves every piece of info they find. But the amount of stalker-encounters are reduced, because you no longer have to attend public places, in the flesh, face to face with the mobs of fans.
And as a side note, in my own head-cannon, this also means we get to enjoy people who would otherwise never have put themselves out there. Because getting up in front of crowds of people, is really intimidating to many, even if they are talented and entertaining. That barrier really helps there.
