I'm scrolling down the archive and honestly there's nothing I would say is so shit that you shouldn't watch it (except maybe the MMR streams, since they're autism prime and Nina doesn't interact with chat much). Pick the ketchup Tuesdays if want to hear her yap and click the game streams of games you like. The recent Lethal Company Barbie collabs have stayed strongly in my memory. Many laughs and funny situations.

Rogue Trader is a good start, it has a lexicon if you ever get hung up on stuff. You're basically a privateer in that game though, you have more autonomy than the average Imperial.

In terms of source material on paper some of it is silly, but a lot of it is really good. Even the old Rogue Trader stuff from 1987 is still interesting. Realms of Chaos and Imperial Armour still holds up to this day. The narrative parts of the expansions published by Forgeworld are some of the best campaigns in the game. You'll have to search for .pdf threads on /tg/ for some of that stuff. Also some stuff is left vague for players and hobbyists to do their own thing and make their own homebrews. That's why some events on the timeline are just "Here's a vague war that happened in this area of space and it lasted for 80 years", that's where YOUR DUDES can fight I guess. Though GW these days is focused on the current setting.
