I write my own but from what I've seen, most don't. It's something you have to weigh up. I like writing my own because I like writing, it feels more authentic and from my heart, it's carthartic for me because I do put my own thoughts and feelings into them, I usually also have ideas about what things I want to say before I even write which is hard to mix into another's writing and usually pre-written scripts aren't very long, max of 20 minutes, usually a lot less. Also my style of ASMR doesn't lend itself well to pre-written scripts since I involve sound triggers. The downside is that, script writing is by far the longest part of the process and by the time I'm done writing a script I could have uploaded 2-3 videos using pre-written stuff. I think fans also appreciate it when you write stuff yourself because they know it is you talking to them.

>try to score collabs with larger streamers. or streamers that are around your level. preferably 1 on 1 collabs. Large collabs dont do a whole lot. Collabs that are more than just your basic playing a video game for a couple hours are better. Doing interview shows are a great way to get the other person's audience interested in the collab

>hire somebody to make clips for tiktok/YTshorts. there is a good chance this wont amount to much but you could also go viral out of nowhere

>try to plan larger events and shill them hard to your own audience. If you can get everyone that regularly watches you to show up all at the same time you can boost your numbers quite a bit and attract the attention of people that you normally wouldn't be able to.

I'm happy I started again, the fresh start and refocus has given me a lot more confidence. I'm still rooting for everyone here so here's some tips:
1. Specialise. Try to choose something you're good at and interested in. There's too much competition to succeed in variety content right now
2. Shill
3. Audio quality above all else
4. VTuber-wise, all you need is a good-looking PNG
5. Weird one, but don't try too hard. Putting in lots of effort on or off stream is a fast track to burnout. Being more laid-back is better for mental health and will make for better and longer streams (longer streams are good for catching both viewers and raids)
I do regret saying I wasn't going to lurk here anymore and I'm sorry for that, but there is sometimes good advice on the threads. I want to contribute to that. If you need anything else you can DM
