Please tell me your best rrats on which agencies are scooping up EU talents and expanding to the EU fanbase.

My thoughts:
1. Holo is in the best position to do it investment-wise. Big enough cushion, and can test out and build up the fanbase even with slow/weak start.
2. Idol is very likely. A lot more aggressive expanding, including ES. Enough capital. Smaller than holo so more adaptable.
3. Niji not likely. Currently in turmoil. Off chance since they still want to expand overseas. Maybe if they see Holo succeed in it.
4. Will focus on English-speaking talents. Big bonus if bilingual with another EU language. Europe too big and diverse in terms of language, so best to still have English as the main one.
5. Big focus on EU-friendly timezones. Test out if superchats and audience retention are still substantial during those hours. At least attempt building an audience from those timezones. Achieve timezone domination.
6. EU is heavy on regulations. Maybe a lurking issue for VTuber agencies.
7. Expansion to ES fanbase (likely) would further increase global market share. Further expansion to CN (unlikely) would achieve global market domination.

>Holo would definitely do it but slow and steady. They don't fuck up around, they would pull the right talents to make it work.
>Idol, definitely. I bet the next generation is EU.
>Niji, nah. They are in downsizing. Later if they survive, sure.
>English required, but probably each talent will have a different first language. Makes for more variety.
>Definitely good for timezones, but remember EU has no tipping culture, so it will be slow in superchat, but ABSURDELY BIG on marketing. People love gadgets over there.
>That's something they will have to eventually deal with. We are already seeing the industry stumble upon the fact that lawyers can destroy their contracts. There are easy ways to do this, other agencies already have EU talents.

Hungarianfag, my two cents:
>Holo
even they'd be considered a black company by regulators, not gonna happen.
>idol
I was under the impression that ES would be primarily LatAm, plus the war isn't good for their finances.
>niji
RIP rot in piss
>English language
indies have it conquered
>timezone
bilingual JP's streaming late evening can do the same
>regulations
won't repeat myself + indies won
>other language
maybe German, there're millions of GSL's on the continent.

>regulations
california also has strict regulations for talent agencies. both holo and niji though get away with their contracts so far. unless really looked into, maybe they can get away with it in EU as well. or maybe different contracts would be offered. still a lurking issue though.
>indies
EU indies having a significant EN market share seems to be a good indicator that there is a significant pool of profitable potential EN-speaking talents from EU, which are the perfect fit for the EU-timezone-EN-speaking model.

holo also (kiara). EU branch implies different branding and focus. it's like an EN branch implies primarily English-speaking talents and more western branding despite there being an ID branch that spoke most of the time in English.

litmus test for when holoEU chances are finally real - they fix their damn merch issues.

this brings to question which agencies DON'T have merch issues in EU. those who have that figured out have more foundation to expand.

1. Everyone in Europe speaks English.
2. Nobody in Europe has any money.

They're not going to waste their money on tight-fisted Krauts, or third-worlders speaking Spanish or French.

>Holo
Biggest hurdle is that it is hard to manage EU timezones from JP as there is not much overlap.
So unless they finally open up an overseas office I cannot see this happening.
East-coast US would make sense as a location because that is also quite under-severed by current talents.

NijiEN already has a ton of EU members. They have multiple Brits, a Frenchman and a Swede
