The name hololive production was established in December 2019 to create an umbrella that could contain both Inonaka Music and holostars alongside hololive. hololive production is not an actual thing that exists but a name to present all the vtuber groups owned by Cover as one larger group.
Homos are part of the company (Cover) no matter how hard you go with your mental gymnastics.

I don't believe that males are inherently bad. In my mind, the problem has never been that male vtubers exist. The problem is casting. If you hire dumb sexpests looking to mooch of the girls, you shouldn't be surprised if things go to shit. If you hire people that appeal to a particularly toxic group then they are going to cause problems for everyone. Both of these happened simultaneously to NijiEN and it effectively pushed out the Lazusydia fanbase. Look, male vtubers are usually going to appeal to a different audience. So some clashes between fanbases are to be expected. Hololive(productions) attempts to mitigate this by keeping the branches separate. So fans of one are less likely to start beef with fans of the other. Does it work? I would say it does for the most part. It's certainly in a much healthier state than Nijisanji is with it's co-ed model. Clashes are minor and often attributable to false-flags when they do arise. No group has waged war on another to chase them out of the fandom as of yet.

Real talk, things are fine if you hire people with the common sense to realize that this is a big break for them and that they shouldn't fuck it up. People who know to stay in their lane, entertain their audience, and not cause problems for others. You know, people who understand what it means to be a working adult. Most JP stars are like this, and many EN ones are too. You don't have to like their content. That's perfectly fine. No entertainer is going to create content that appeals to everyone; that's literally impossible. But as long as they aren't causing real problems and are making other people happy, they deserve to exist.
