Sucks really badly for Melissa and Lulu because they both wanted to do the stuff they loved most through their careers but one was constantly denied of any aid or backup to become a prominent vsinger and the other was constantly isolated from streaming to avoid getting further doxxed as well as to wait until those lawsuits are over. If I understand the full story it goes something like this. Not Kotoka and not Mel are friends during there Nico days. Mel gets accepted into hololive while kotoka is continuously rejected by nijijp and holo. Finally gets accepted to into nijien after giving up on joining holo and nijijp. Has an off collab with Mel her old Nico friend a couple days before her termination. A couple days or weeks before this happened Mel cat who she really loved passed away. So after the stream Mel and kotoka would continue to speak where Mel would leak something and break nda.
We don’t know what was leaked but everything going forward is my personal guess if it is kotoka, it was probably something to do with merch deals. Since we can see Nijien gets none or terrible cuts maybe Mel let it slip who they contract and percentages it cost for her, which kotoka could have used said information to get her own deals. Said company proceeds to tell cover hey some outsider knows our deals. Cover investigates and finds the leak was Mel, based on Mel’s and covers statement the company probably wanted some form of compensation to look the other way or terminate Mel, said compensation was too much for Mel to agree to could be a higher cost for everyone in merch cost. Mel in good conscience doesn’t want all of hololive to suffer said cost for her mistake so she pursues a mutual termination.
That’s my personal conjecture based on everything.
