Going off memory here, but a dragon came from the west and settled (literally, it's rooted to the ground and is like half sakura tree, half dragon) in Japan. Its blood is what gives the Divine Heir the power of resurrection. From its roots, divine waters flow, which is why the area is called the fountainhead. But while drinking the sediments of the water can give you immortality, it is also corrupting and puts centipedes in ya. So this isn't exactly heaven, and when she gets deeper in, you'll see everyone up here is fucked up.
