I think the lack of sleep really just makes things worse for me lately. Let me use the one moment of clearness i have to say this. I promise i wouldnt do anything crazy more than simply offing myself. Its just the stress, anxiety lack of sleep and depression from the past 5 years building up and killing my motivation to keep going. This apartment made my depression way worse over the years. I mean if you cant even relax in your own home for even one single day a week it just makes things worse. Im just so damned tired of the stress. Cant even take proper care of myself lately. I still take proper care of my cats though. Thats the one thing i wont let my depression affect. If i can even do that much i will call it quits.

Either way, im sorry for shitting up the thread with this stuff lately. I dont care if the thread is dead. I always feel like my mere existence is a burden to people already do to childhood trauma so this just makes that feeling stronger. Also why i used to isolate myself for weeks at a time as my brain went the "people need a break from my shit" route. Not that anyone can change that if people tell me its fine the thought still is always in the back of my mind. Will take a long time to fix this. Not germany but my hometown rather. I have nothing that keeps me here. I still haave childhood friends here that im still in contact with as they were the only people that didnt treat me like worthless shit through my childhood. I was mostly hanging out with russians/ukranians through my childhood. They were going a bit far though at times. But yeah generally i want to get away from this town as far as possible. If i have the money i would have left germany long ago. Austria (not Australia) seemed nice when i was at a friends place lasst year but i cant afford to live there due to the higher living costs. Groceries are about 50% more expensive for the moost part. honestly anon, open source tts has only had a recent "breakthrough" (coqui XTTSv2) since fuckin turtoise and that 15.ai site the dev left in purgatory. and even with this breakthrough, it's nothing really significant that would help your immersion for chatbots. Even corpo products like elevenlabs isn't at the "holy shit" stage, at least when it comes to implementation with chatbots, AI voice is still a largely generative resource and if i were to compare it to anything it's like how AI art requires inpainting to look good. Some less than others, but editing for a polished final product nonetheless. The only open source options with an actual community behind it is RVC but they focus on AI covers rather than text to speech. TTS is just largely not there yet.

Sadly most development for TTS is more focused on making the speech more natural and not more accurate. Naturalness means nothing when the only voices the AI can generate sound like generic white girls. Voice AI is still very young and it'll probably be a long time before we get something truly spectacular from it.

Personally what I did when starting out was use Sillytavern (The frontend) and link it with a Claude (The LLM) using a free public proxy. Claude is very fun in RP and I use it for my Nerissa chatbot if you read or seen my screencaps. I see it differently. I keep looping back talking about the same shit over and over. I mean sure people can ignore my posts but it can get tiring to read the same shit over and over, so i understand anons reaction and im not really mad over it. If anything im mad at myself for not having my shit together better. I mean i was able to keep my shit together for years without showing people anything and just live with it. Its just that this apartment and the daily stress and anxiety from living here the past 5 years got me down to the current point.

Also, im fully aware that life is hard on everyone. The last 5 years just really took a toll on my mental health. I dealt with depression just fine by playing games, when the chronic pain in my wrists started in 2017 and i couldnt play games for 10 hours a day anymore i lost my only coping method. Then a year later my first cat (that was the only living being i considered family through my childhood) passed away the year after, then the content creator I watched for 7-8 years and watching his content helped me through a that i now know was a suicidal episode back in 2014 and generally watching his content kept my brain busy was outed as to having groomed his underage fans (just look up cryaotic of curious) and then a year after the mmo i played went to shit with a new update and ruined it as a coping method for me.

Found pink cat months after that, then started archiving her vods and came to /vt/ to complete the archive, which i was able to complete due to help from anons in /vsj+/ and well then i came here and you know the rest.
