Along with having her own void world and shape-shifting shenanigans, Ina's basically only really beaten by Bae and only when the author is more autistic than the one writing for Ina. Ame can't even "go back in time and kill Ina" because it's official lore that Ina saved Ame's life and gave her Kronii's clock in the first place so it becomes a Grandfather's Paradox. I don't care about the lore for vtubers outside of surface-level stuff the talents can play off of, but even then Ina's basically the big bad.
Even Moona, despite being a moon goddess and at full power, could only really push Ina back.

I do love the bit about Ame originally traveling through time while investigating occult phenomena though. i remember that WAY back as an explanation for the clock in the pre-Council days and thought it was a great twist making her a clever British time traveler and just as much a Cryptid as the rest of Myth

The point of cosmic horror is not that the monsters are more powerful than other fiction it's that humanity, particularly the human mind, is frail and delicate. Some of the monsters, like the mutants in The Lurking Fear, can be killed with a gun, but the encounter leaves the protag scarred and broken. I hate to sound like a Rick and Morty viewer, but if you can only read on a shallow level then cosmic horror is not for you.

It's in her military outfit reveal where she confirms she's plant Satan. Past Satan gives an exposition dump on what heaven and hell is and it isn't the biblical heaven and hell, instead it's a forest and a mountain. She gets her full powers and kills some guy which only snaps a bridge in half.

Also I don't know if Millie actually wrote herself to be universal. It seems like she wrote herself to be an immortal time traveler but she can't actually willingly destroy universes. Vox might actually be stronger than most Nijis since his movie gave him the power to steal life forces passively, has him be immortal and has him be strong enough to wipe out a country on his own.

The point of Cosmic horror is the point in that the game was rigged because the powerscale is too far gone to begin with, you cannot actually win, anymore than a single ant can defeat a Main Battle Tank. Maybe the Ant can be lucky and crawl inside and cause the Tank to short out or maybe the Tank's driver is allergic to Ants and getting bit causes him to break out into hives causing the tank to come to a start, but it's just a short term solution. The Driver will take his epipen, the tank commander will fix the damaged wire and the antbed gets run over anyway.

Usually, but not necessarily. I already mentioned the inbred mutants from Lurking Fear and someone else mentioned C'thulu getting bodied by ship ramming. The Horror at Red Hook is another antagonist that can be killed by relatively normal means. The problem is that merely encountering these things is so terrifying and traumatic that the protagonist's survival is almost meaningless. Our bodies and egos are fragile and venturing too far into the unknown will bring us face to face with things we cannot endure or understand. Thinking about it in terms of power level is missing the point and god-like power is not essential for a cosmic horror antagonist.

Tbh people tend to forget that main thing of Cosmic horror gods is that the setting they first existed was a setting that humans couldn't hope to win.

To grab an easy idea,imagine if the moon is a god that eats souls of a city each 10 days. Humanity could try to nuke the moon,but at most it would annoy it.

Comic horror only gets overpowered. When the setting has celestials,and the author wants to keep their godlike status.
SOMETIMES its absurdly silly,because there is no real difference between the celestial and the eldritch one,besides the eldritchs are scarier and stronger. (even the power can be the same a lot of times).

Even for the ones high up on the power scale their unfathomable beyondness means that by their own nature we are so unimportant to them that they ave no reason to focus themselves on us enough to even wipe us out in the first place.

To them we are lower than NPCs so the idea that they want to kill all humans, no they don't care either way about us. And for humans who are convinced of their own importance, part of that horror is that there a beings that consider us to be completely irrelevant to themselves.
