Lots of Vtubers for lots of people out there. Hololive is the biggest company but there are lots of indies too. HololiveEN has five girls that all speak English, but the rest speak Japanese (there's also the Indonesian branch that speaks three languages)

Just watch clips and some vods here and there and see who you like. YouTube searching hololive clips will give you trillions of results. Though keep in mind most clips don't give you the full picture of what a girl's personality is like

For the best "sample platter" watch hololive gamers and/or gen 3. Pekora is the best vtuber of hololive, she's cute and can sing while being a genius at minecraft and her interaction with others is incredible. For fps games try Botan, she's chill and fun but also has some lovely quirks and has the chillest minecraft streams (yes they ALL play minecraft). Also try pikamee and tsundaria to get a feel for indie and english vtubers. Hololive indonesia has some good content and usually speak a lot of English, I can't recommend Ollie and Reine enough.

Don't listen to clip niggers, clips are generally out of context and done in a way that pushes popular maymays (haha Marine is horny, Shion is flat, etc), or even worse gives the spotlight to SC attention whores.
If you're English only, watch a full EN collab, pick your favorite, and watch their videos. Branch out to ID and Haachama from there. If you understand JP then start with Korone I guess since you seem to like her.

Avoid Haachama/Akai Haato since she has a really high pitched voice and screams a lot.
I really want to recommend Pekora because she's super entertaining, but she's also loud and high-pitched
Matsuri is fun at times because of how mentally unstable she can be.
Luna is pretty funny sometimes too.

As the others have said, who cares? Clips have a place for people who genuinely don't have the time to watch stream after stream. I also think for someone like OP who doesn't know where to start, then clips can be a nice way to get introduced to lots of different chuubas.
