There is definitely something going on with management and there has been a suspicious amount of malicious compliance in HoloEN since 2022. They were less angry in 2023 but they weren't optimistic for 2024 until after that December meeting. A lot of people will shitpost in response to this but I think it's worth an honest response. There are a bunch of reasons why: Japanese are encouraged to put their head down and grind regardless of their mental state which inherently means they'll put up with more than the western girls will. It's also objectively easier to work for Cover as a japanese talent. The EN girls have to deal with the bureaucracy of a country they're not from, management who largely speak a completely different language, and months every year where they have to pack up and go live in a hotel in a country they don't speak the language of while grinding dance choreography. Even when they're not in Japan, all their meetings are on Japan time since management wants them to bow down, so they constantly have to be up at 2-5 am to attend meetings that could just be emails, fucking their sleep schedules. It's extremely stressful to be a foreign Cover talent which is why they most consistent ones either live in Japan full time (Mori, formerly Kiara) or are close enough it's not as bad (Bae)

JPs' workplace is within the same area if not the same city, it completely aligns with their daytime and everyone speaks their language.
Now compare it to any non-fluent EN. You need to attend meetings online at ungodly hours, travel half the world for in-person meetings and when they're there, they are going to be in near complete social isolation outside of work. This sort of environment isn't healthy, no matter how much money it makes them.

It's much easier to organize collabs when everyone's living in the same timezone and it only takes an hour or two for talents to meet up for off Collab. I have koreans who work remote at my california based company, and are constantly getting fucked since their deadlines have to lineup with ours in the PST timezone. Omega era, i recall Kronii & Bae both said out loud that 2022 & into 2023 were really demoralizing (Bae smth about "fake smiles" & Kronii absolutely venting on a Powerwas Sim stream about mishandled projects). But Bae has been going really strong recently & Kronii sounds generally happy to be streaming, so the post-Omega era of HoloEN seems to be much better.

That being said, perhaps Myth just dealt with mismanagement for longer & are simply taking more time to recover their mental? /vt/ has the attention span of a mayfly so y'all tend to start crying if someone ghosts for less than a week but normal people can take months or even years to recover from seriously bad trauma.

Council debuts, Myth is burnt out, dials back streams once Council proves they aren't gonna implode instantly. Council is now effectively the only EN group streaming, loses a member, streams like crazy to etc etc. Advent debuts, Council is burnt out, etc etc.

Basically, Myth overworked themselves and the failure to pace themselves is just cascading to this day.
