Holofes is in 3 weeks! I figure now that the lotteries are over, most anons have their plans set in stone. And since the catalog isn't on fire, I wanted to make one more thread.
Who else is attending Holofes in person? I'll be in Tokyo from the 10th to the 17th, so I'd be up for meeting up early if anyone is up for it. Also, stage 1 only here.

Will be arriving on the 15th (JP time), I will see you there Anon. Look forward to experiencing what they have for us this year, the concept looks promising !

Haven't booked my hotel yet, have no plans, and very minimal Japanese capability.
I'm doomed.

You don't need to have plans, but book your hotel already! Anywhere along the yamanote line is good, I think. I'll be staying in Ueno.

I know I can't complain, but I'm so jealous anon.

Oh, I was always planning on getting a hotel in Tokyo proper and just taking a train in Sat/Sun, since the other 3 days of the trip I plan on just walking around the city.
>>69848444
Any recs for booking a hotel? I've never booked a hotel internationally, do I just Google it. I got profoundly lucky with getting all stages, I know. I assume I'll die while I'm there as a consequence, but as long as it's after the concert, I don't care.

Oh, you can just use one of those hotel booking sites. I used expedia, searched for different areas around central tokyo and looked at the map view. If you want to save money, filter for something under $100 per night. Capsule hotels and hostels are the cheapest, but if you want a private space make sure you avoid those. APA is one of the common cheap hotel chains there that you can look for.

Be careful with booking, com though, as there's been some fuckery where everyone that had an active booking via them worldwide was sent phishing emails to them and gorillions were defrauded. Booking blames the hotels, the hotels blame booking. Who's to blame?
Fuck them I book direct with the hotels. Sometimes better perks because the hotels prefer you cut out the middleman and book direct. I'm inclined to believe that, depending on the context, a hotel's going to be more "helpful" to a guest that booked direct vs one that used one of these sites. Dunno.

I got tickets for all three main stages and Expo day 2. I live in Tokyo but west of the Yamanote Line so I got a hotel in Funabashi to make sure I don't have to travel an hour both ways to Makuhari.

Whether or not I'll be up for anything after the event depends on my energy level. I go to a lot of events but waking up early has never been one of my strong suits and adrenaline from the shows themselves only last so long.

I went to the Expo last year so I recommend arriving early if you wanted to look at everything. Don't forget to schedule merch and food pick-ups too.

Also live in Tokyo, I don't go to Holofes but from BA and Wonfes experience this anon is right, if you want to suffer less get a hotel in Chiba

Especially if you intend to take Keiyo line, you get fucked by the Disney goers stopping at Maihama and at the wrong times its miserable

>> No.69862809

>>69862065
NB on cameras, though not the event ones I mean the ones you carry around for snaps: they're totally verboten on the day. If they find one in your bag entering a Live you'll be kicked out apparently. Just a reminder for any /p/hags thinking of bringing your gear with you. I don't know about the expo though.

>> No.69863051

Yeah it was just something I noticed in their conditions of entry to the concert hall. Assume they don't have a cloakroom/lockers to store your shit outside.

There's a bunch of restaurants right around the station along with convenience stores and food stalls on the way to and at the Messe.

>>69862049
Yeah, you need to be able to enter the expo for the Hololive-themed food. You can still buy merch even if you only have a concert ticket, though.

>>69862506
Getting on the Keiyo Line from Tokyo is miserable but I found an alternate route that lets me transfer at Shin-Kiba so I only have to deal with the Gisney crowd for 2 stops.

Around where do you live? Is that the Saikyo one where you stay on at Rinkai until Shin-Kiba (basically the non-Yurikamome route to Big Sight)

Also March is peak Disney season isn't it, they do that holiday discount for students
