I can only speak for myself but while I'm no puritan and won't condemn it(within reason), I don't see any appeal to it as any kind of mainstay.
Important to point out that the drug and the reasons for it factor heavily into this, though. It's never been psychedelics tiers, but it's not like drugs and vtubing haven't crossed in the past though. Off the top of my head...

There are actually other examples of vtubers who have mentioned drug use before, both in terms of illegal narcotics and heavy abuse and misuse of prescription narcotics, but because they are not common knowledge among more casual audiences unlike the ones I listed, I will omit them for their sake. I will however say that it makes me uncomfortable to hear about it. Especially if they're semi-bragging and laughing about it. Especially especially if they're semi-bragging and laughing about it AND the medical consequences that they have to live with now because of their previous drug use. It makes me sad when people I like get hurt, it makes me even sadder to know that they hurt themselves, but it makes me truly depressed when somebody I like boasts about their self-destruction as if it was just another thing that happens

Blue Yeti is a fairly bad example of a condenser. It was fine back in 2013 YouTube but it gets murdered by even a faiely deprecated retro cheapy like the at2020. Yeti is also notorious for being used incorrectly due to its multiple cardioid patterns and weird directional input.
Not really a fair comparison to rank against something that so thoroughly trashes the others in its price range like the Q2U does.

He does both the Q2u and the Yeti in this video, but keep in mind that he's in a well treated room and using proper mic technique. By my ear the Yeti actually sounds better than the Q2U here desu
Should also keep in mind that how a mic sounds is mostly preference. I like the clarity that comes with an at2020 and am willing to deal with the sibilance issues. Others are okay with the gravelly mids you get from Sennheiser/blue snowball because it lacks the same sibilant issues. pick what you like and what works for your environment.

If you're gonna do a debut without a corpo to hype it up, I'd recommed looking at what Nerururururururururururururururururururururururururururu has done.
Even better would be to have some shorts (lotta work and might not work), or have some vtubers repost, and talk to you before debut to get you out there. Best thing to do is have a great model that you showcase a good amount of time in advance. Some meme shorts with your model and no voice works best on a results/workload ratio.
No clue what indie vtubers do for a good debut, my only point of reference is corpo, it always feels like indies don't do debuts, but they do model/outfit reveals. Other than that a nice short stream about yourself with a slideshow is good enough for indie without having to use X amount of dollars on a single debut stream.

When your community is big and wealthy enough you do a subathon/donothon/birthday stream for a model/outfit and the goal is essentially a redebut, but with other goal rewards to along the way. Gives you plenty of time to prepare what you can do doing a donothon stream and might give you a boost in ccv.

Hi,
I've come to seek advice once again, as last time I got unironically good advice. I'm a 2view who often feels like a someone who thought she could bite more than she could and now realised I'm practically talentless and have no redeeming qualities except being a loli in a community where lolis arent really common (not EN) my voice doesn't really match my character so I can't even do pedobaiting.

I do some dates from time to time, try to change places and make then engaging, I dont actively promote parasocialism but I don't mind it. I also do some weeb stuff (my main focus, cant be too specific on this one) and some gameplay.

I think its because in the side of the community I'm on, lolis are seen as forbidden and some people even told me they weren't willing to give me a chance based on my model and they only came after I collabbed with their oshi and they saw I wasn't "anything weird"
