2. Make sure you are using the NAI EPS HLL6.3 here https://huggingface.co/CluelessC/hll-test/blob/main/lyco/hll6.3-a9-eps.safetensors
3. because of weirdness regarding Lyco merging, I would recommend attempting to either go lighter on the weight overall when merging, or to attempt doing block weight merging with supermerger.

I did a quick check of State.
So, State is ancient. It's a dead extension. It still works, but it will never support anything it doesn't already support.
I haven't tested it, but I'm fairly certain you can configure defaults by manually editing the ui-config.json file in the webui's main folder.
It's a bit fiddly, but if you search for a fairly unique word you should find the settings block for it.

Now that I've tried forge a bit, gotta say something with the way forge does memory management or loras is just so much better for me. Using SDXL on comfy I must have been right near my VRAM limit because I could gen a pic in a relatively normal time but adding a single lora would make it take 8-10x as long and lock up my entire computer in the process. Oops, didn't mean that when I said inpainting. I usually already have a `1girl, ninomae ina'nis, ...` in the first t2i prompt, so she'll be in the image. I inpaint her after the 2x upscale because there's often small mistakes that are introduced in the upscale, and inpainting at high res makes the inpainted section look more crisp.
Although I sometimes do use the approach you mention for specific scenes that I have in mind which are hard to gen in one pass with person and scenery. Alternatively I first gen the scenery and handdraw a silhouette in PS and inpaint that into an actual figure, that's usually more consistent.
