I started coming here consistently a little over a year ago and I’ve noticed I’ve enjoyed streams a lot less since I started.

Everyone here is so cynical it’s rubbed off on me. I can’t take anything said at face value anymore. I have to question everything my oshi does or says for fear she’s lying to her fans and only seeks to use us. This board would have you believe these woman, who I used to really enjoy, are all used up whores who can’t be trusted.

The worst part is that I’m in so deep now, I can’t go back. I move started to believe a lot of those toxic things.

I don't get how you faggots have this issue. I escaped the rabbit hole easily and went back in. I used to watch Selen (Mainly her Apex streams since I was big on Apex at the time, and her Gap Moe + Gamer mind was a huge draw) and slowly stopped watching her over time.
Came back to her a week before Christmas and didn't watch, but just checked and saw everything go down. She "disappeared" and reincarnated or whatever the fuck the jannies want me to say and I only really watched her Apex stream and that's it.
I guess I'm different in that I watch streams for the gameplay, not really for the personality (though I didn't get filtered by her laugh and ironically her personality was why I watched her. when I did).
Guess what I'm trying to say is stop being a massive faggot and go outside and talk to some bitches.

I got disillusioned by chuubas as soon as the novelty of anime avatars wore off and it became obvious the vast majority of them are terrible people like any other online entertainers. This was before /vt/ became a thing so I'm definitely not blaming the board, in fact it's nice to see I'm not alone

That said there are still vtubers I watch and enjoy on a semi regular basis so all the yabs and cynicism definitely hasn't killed off my interest in my favorites. There are good chuubas out there, or at the very least ones that are tard wrangled well enough for my entertainment
