I was diagnosed in November. After the autism results came in they actually told me to come in and do some block puzzles and word problems and also identified ADHD.

Unfortunately the medicines available are opioids and with high blood pressure that's a no-go. As someone who has aspergers, first point is that the lumping together of all these different disorders into autism spectrum disorder was a terrible thing to do and actively prevents people who actually have issues from getting the specialized help they need. Second point is that it doesn't absolve you of being a bad person and doing shitty things. Third point, and this is crucial, tiktok and modern social media has people self diagnosing themselves with various disorders, and when they go to a doctor the doctor usually just puts down a checkmark because they don't want to deal with the harassment from the general public and potentially lose their medical license.
