>> No.69520425

>>69484228
Let's pretend for a moment that Niji is a pristine company with no drama to its name.
In 2024, company loyalty is not incentivized in the corporate world, because employers do not update compensation packages frequently enough, and promotions are frequently difficult to access or don't offer enough of a significant bump in compensation. You are instead incentivized to change employers every 2-3 years to develop a career, as markets shift and other employers become available. The only way employers can prevent this is to keep their compensation updated with the rest of the job market, or to be ahead of the curve in the first place. Corporate vtubing is not playing by different rules, but a lot of a company's ability to thrive depends on PR management, and a good chunk of your business is reliant on public-facing employees, so the compensation package for talent matters to outsiders just as much as the actual employees. Viewers want to know that their oshi is getting taken care of; this is one of the core drivers of the parasocial business model.

What does Nijisanji offer as a compensation package? Well, from Niji's own mouth, and the mouths of their talents:
>A model, with a few provisionary names that you can pick from if you don't want to come up with your own. Lore is not included, but you will get wavemates that have a rough theme that you can work with.
>An iPhone to use for face tracking.
>1~3% of merch sales (accounts all indicate it is incredibly low, but may vary slightly by talent)
>30~50% of superchats and memberships, after Youtube's cut (accounts here are rough and conflict with each other a bit, so this figure might be wrong)
>The potential for 3D. Note that 3D is not a guarantee, even if you hit their milestone requirement.
>Guaranteed initial burst of subs/views on debut.
>Usual fluff corpospeak "benefits" for independent contractors of any field, such as being able to control your own schedule and provide your own equipment.

Of the major vtuber-focused corpos in the EN sphere, they are offering the absolute worst compensation package, and it's not even close. An indie signing on with a streamer talent management agency will be getting better management AND a better cut of the revenue, with almost none of the restrictions, and you get the opportunity to reinvest in yourself however you like.
Nijisanji's issues all stem from the fact that they're stuck in the 2018~2020 era of vtubing. They are trying to run a global business as if it was a Japanese business exclusive to a Japanese market with a limited global market of weebs. They're treating vtubing as a tiny, niche hobby that they are industry leaders on, when the real industry leaders have left them in the dust. Even in JP, Phase is beating your average Liver. A fucking fish that sells coffee and lusts after hags is stronger than 90% of Nijisanji in both branches. That should be disgraceful for one of the oldest companies in the business.
Niji needs to update their shit and stop acting like the rest of the business doesn't exist.

They don't, the new waves are supposed to provide content for the type of people who watch a streamer for a few months, before jumping to another streamer, instead of lifelong loyalty. Worth noting that even if you do go with a corpo, most (relevant) corpos re-invest better than Niji.
Ex-Nijis have outright said that their managers didn't help with shit, and we can plainly see that they can't get 3D models much less a concert.

Since the EN branches started up, Yagoo drastically increased the amount of support staff in the company and spent billions of yen on a huge state-of-the-art 3D capture studio that everyone gets flown into to record concerts and events, including overseas branches and Stars.
Riku bought a yacht.
