It definitely sucks, but for stuff like this Hololive would be running a deficit to fund an unprofitable tournie. Cover can't afford to spend more on a stream than they'll make off of it in revenue. What's really shitty is that it seems like no one gave her an accurate assessment of the total cost, and also didn't help her find a sponsor.

Besides, she didn't mention how much "30x more than expected" was. For all we know it could be as little as a few thousand dollars (Though likely more). If she's saying "Maybe the year after" it isn't a debilitating sum. Just an inconvenient one.

She is under the impression that livestreaming on youtube a lot causes your videos/shorts to not be favoured as much. That said, she also mentioned she would still do certain things like chatting streams on youtube, and has gone back on that, not that she should be trusted anyway.
Given she can get plenty of money from merch and sponsorships, it shouldn't be an issue in that regard.

The support was likely to help with commissioning assets, using the studio, providing staff for using the studio, etc. Yes she had to pay for all of it, but imagine also having to figure out arrangements for all of this on her own.
Without Cover's help she'd have had to contact artists, rent out a studio, and rent out people to help in the studio. While the artists part is probably simple enough, having Cover staff who already have lines to many of them would speed things up a lot.
It was her tournament, they had no reason to help pay for it. I imagine she could have dipped into her allocated funds if she wanted to.
I doubt she had to pay nintendo, and I doubt she had to pay the streamers. Though knowing her, if any of them didn't want to join, I could see her shelling out money to get them in.
That said, the 30x was probably because she underestimated how much it costs to have multiple staff running the studio, among other things. I am willing to bet they didn't even bill her for the studio time itself, given she is one of their talents.
