I would say the biggest upgrade has to be Anny. She got a lot better at drawing during her time as a VTuber and her newer model is fantastic.

All vtubers change in someway over time regardless of model change, for IRyS it's more obvious it was BECAUSE of the model change, specifically because she was so upset about waiting for it. She was not happy with it and expressed it in numerous way not unlike Flare who was also mentioned by another anon.
The model change wasn't like an instant mind swap but after it you can tell IRyS wasn't trying as hard to please fans because she no longer felt "gimped" by her model.

her 1.0 she heavily leveraged being a people-pleaser (or a pickme even) because a lot of the potential audience got filtered straight out because of her looks
her 2.0 she also has the coomerbait angle to lean on too because she looks more pleasing to see and feel like she's "belonged"

not that anon... but the first facial model was not as pretty, but seemed to be more expressive, especially in goofy/innocent/hurt moments.
2.0 is certainly prettier, but gives a totally different color to yabaIRyS moments.
