Eh I find ffmpeg splitting without re-encoding to be finicky because of keyframes, when you're only dealing with audio it's fine. Although if I was going to make individual tracks out of a karaoke I'd probably drop it into ableton or audacity or whatever daw you prefer and then put some small fade ins/outs on each track because there will definitely be some where she is talking or there is just no good piece of silence to cut at, and re-encoding once as an export is worth it to have the tracks start nicely.

Well that's incredibly difficult to stop since we can't see into the future and human nature is a fickle thing. I would say your best bet would be to specify physical features and create distinct rules as to what each one signifies. When you start creating "lesser" gods or what I would call in-betweens you lose both focus and so do the people. the thicker the blanket, the less up and down your inside-bed environment is, though you may have to turn the air temperature down to compensate
