Elira had the best reputation out of literally anyone in EN, she was rock solid and no one has reason to doubt her. She's one of Pomu's best friends and they probably fucked. She never made trouble. Even Kiara specifically asked for her as a Lethal Company partner. Elira put her channel on the line because if it were against any other person in any other context people would have faith in her, that's why.
But no, they chose to Zaion one of the other most beloved members of the company and bring attention to a bunch of drama-loving normies (who don't give a fuck about Elira's reputation prior to this incident) and pissed off dragoons and casual NijiEN fans (who don't give a fuck about Elira at all besides her massive tits and lesbian relationship with Pomu)

Yeah the funny thing is that even with all the clique narratives people always were kinda iffy about her truly being the leader of it all because she had a stellar record as a "nice person" so the idea that she was secretly a moustache-twirling villain behind the scenes almost seemed too cartoonish to be real.
