Actually vedal is far behind the current state of open source llm (including multimodal one). It's quite trivial to replace neuro's language model to finetuned mistral/llama/llava, image description model to clip or blip and tts with random model on huggingface.
I think vedal can "improve" neurosama if he wants (It's not that difficult to do generative AI thing for a programmer with enough experience if you can afford GPUs), but "improving" neurosama will create the uncanny valley that would just turn away some of viewers, and most of all, most of vtuber collabs. The first rule of wAIfu vtuber is not to threaten other vtubers.

Python, which is the programming language most of "data scientists" and AI researchers use, is just as dumb as Javascript/C#. I'd further argue that C# is more sophisticated and useful (Semantic Kernel is written in C#) than python/javascript.
API part is not that dumb either since most of the state-of-the-art LLMs are close sourced. (I highly doubt he actually uses API though, I suspect he actually uses GPT-2/BERT or some really old language model on his local machine.)

btw, many of most used python library is actually written in C++ or Rust for performance reason. Hard to overlook performance/programming language design aspect.

Well, I concede on this point since "prompt engineering" is basically a band-aid solution to proper full training/fine-tuning but prompt engineering, if you delve further, does require programmers to understand internal structure of LLM and transformer architecture.

They exist but the main issue is that response times exponentially grow once you get a better model to use and unless you want to wait seriously for a minute using even a 4090 to run some of these models, you have to scale it back down to ChatGPT 3 levels for real time response like Neuro does. And also up until recently, a lot of the models more advanced had a custom license from Meta who made LLaMA that prohibited usage of their LLM in this way. I can see a lower end Mistral which has amendable license for streaming be a good basis and is probably what others doing the same thing are doing but it isn't all that much more advanced than Neuro and Mixtral needs much beefier hardware to run real-time.

I was curious about this after watching the Sora video with the car driving up a mountain road. It had the same POV as a driving game and looked like high res 3D graphics. How close is AI to being able to render games in real time based on player inputs? For example, a driving game where the player can control their car, and the AI generates a persistent world that obeys the laws of physics. And if the player presses left, the car turns left, if they press on the gas they accelerate, and so on. An entire game but there are no models and no actual rendering engine, just the AI creating video and displaying it

There was this game in the 90s from Japan where it was just a 3D rendered girl that responded to you and adapted to you. I think it was for the Playstation or the Sega Saturn. I hang out two places on 4chan. /lmg/ and /here/. Considering all of the extras you can add to something like SillyTavern, including live2D and rvc voice cloning, we're practically there as long as you have the voice samples you want to clone and a Live2D model rigged properly to link up to it. And a 12GB VRAM minimum GPU to run a 13b model.
Bigger and better exist but it depends on how deep your fetishes go and how hard you hit it and burn out on what the model can creatively come up with.
There's a spoonfeed Rentry there if anyone is curious. The point is that running on your GPU locally is free and private so no ones watching your convos.
