Things I have learned in the last six months:
>Virtual YouTubers should not have left Japan
>Non-Japanese should not have tried to get into the Virtual YouTubing space
>This whole industry should have exclusively remained a niche form of Japanese entertainment
>Involving Indonesia, let alone China, Canada, or the USA was a tremendous mistake
I cannot stress enough how unwatchable almost everything is now simply because some dumb executives decided to make welfare branches in non-Japanese markets.
This was a mistake. A colossal mistake.
The whole concept of vtubing was, and should remain, exclusively a Japanese form of entertainment.
It is abundantly clear to me that non-Japanese people simply do not grasp the stringent requirements necessary to thrive in this form of entertainment. This is especially true of "Westerners."
If you want to fix the industry, summarily close every non-Japanese branch and fire every talent who does not live in Japan.

Western world is a human plague right now. I honestly can't see any fixing it. The sooner Western societies fall, the better. Absolute embarrassment to witness what's happened in the last couple decades. Asians need to purge any Western influence on their society ASAP. I fear South Korea and SEA are too far gone though in this matter. Japan and China still have hope.

Hard disagree. The 21st century is seeing a decrease in importance of the English language in favor of Mandarin and Spanish. We are living in a transitional period.
There exists a small demographic of Japanese who are attempting to learn English in an effort to enjoy several of the "top" Western talents. No different than any EOP here who attempts to learn Japanese to enjoy the Japanese talents.
It's a bad trade. The fact that there may be a few successful non-Japanese talents is a consequence of statistics. Their success does not mean lighting the rest of the industry on fire due to incompatible cultures was worth it.
