I think the problem here is that you don't understand that other people's minds operate differently from your own. Maybe you're perfectly content to work in a shitty company that treats you like shit. I'm also usually fine with this as long as I'm paid well. But I'll still defend my coworker that I know isn't as 'mentally tough' as I am. And, as it turns out, most people aren't.
This kind of environment is very damaging to people and they pass it on to other people in their lives. Workplace harassment isn't normal and shouldn't be treated as normal because it hurts individuals, and by hurting individuals it hurts everyone by propagating it.
It's the same as Amazon. There isn't a difference just because they're entertainers. Talent agencies are often the worst because of how soft the people they work with, people that want to work in entertainment are already more fragile than the average person.
