Honestly after seeing the Aster leaks I can believe that some sort of passive aggressive gaslighting harassment mixed with toxic positivity was going on all the time to keep livers in line, and perhaps believed by the livers themselves as them being 'good senpais' or 'good friends' or 'just sharing feelings with each other', which is why the simultaneous truths can exist of Selen believing herself to be bullied and NijiEN livers not realizing how much mental damage they were causing to her until too late and feeling like they were betrayed. Selen herself was also a self-destructive BPD workaholic who put way too much of herself and her own resources into the occupation and wanted to do great things, but was constantly blocked by management, and went off the rails when all the effort she poured into her work was squandered. She also decided about a year ago when all the shit began to hit the fan to start a muckraking operation perhaps for her own protection, or perhaps to one day bring Niji bullshit to light, especially after seeing what happened to other livers like Yugo and Zaion. The moral of the story is this is what happens when you rope together a bunch of theatre kids and clout chasers from all over the globe in their 20s with little professional work experience, and combine that with shitty management.

I know my opinion doesn't matter but I have to write it somewhere or I'll put it on twitter and then I'm in big trouble.
As a chronically mentally ill woman, I don't think Selen is lying. I think she completely believes everything she's said. Whether that actually lines up with reality or not is something else entirely. Before I was on the right medication I would write obsessive lists - physical, actual notebook lists - of every perceived slight against me by everyone I knew. I was often convinced that people didn't really like me, that it was a plot of some kind against me because everyone hates me because I'm different. My worst episodes were caused by people actually being mean or even cruel towards me, which sent me on obsessive evidence collecting tirades that would get wildly out of hand even though they had a legitimate basis. I see myself in Selen. I don't doubt there is corporate favoritism, I don't doubt she has been treated poorly by management or other livers, but I do worry about how she is going to cope if it turns out that she has overreacted massively (no matter how legitimate she thinks it is) and her lawyer just smelled a payday. Even if she's in the legal right, I worry about how the public will treat her if it really wasn't that bad. I'm worried that because everyone is supporting her largely uncritically (and I do understand why, it's an emotional situation and management are retards) it will fuel any potential delusions and possible future tirades. I hope, I hope to god that Niji stop fucking up their pr for everyone's sake, although realistically that isn't going to happen. I hope that she hasn't just concocted the worst of it in her head.
