And she's been one foot out the door ever since then. Posting stuff like "last chance to get pred in niji", "missed voicepack deadline by 1 day", her not being there in the Sanrio collab in October 2023 etc. etc.

Now imagine you're in the management's shoes.
This girl has been making your sorry ass look bad for the past year. The company reputation in general is going down the drain after several bad PR moves over the past year like the AR Live, Zaion, talents moving to VShojo etc.
The aforementioned girl has been trying to do a Cover for the Last Cup of Coffee for the longest time, and you've been putting her off saying they need permission various random people (like the fucking producer of the song) just to delay its release.
She finally has it. You still try to dilly and dally but it just looks like you're making excuses now. She has cleared all the perms, no one's gonna strike the song, there's no more reasons not to put it out.. or so she says with that fucking smug look on her face...
