Man, I feel bad for whoever's currently in queue for this gen, Yugo and Zaion were one thing, but Selen's situation is a undoubtable black mark of high magnitude. People will be wary of supporting NijiEN and their talents from now, and I doubt management is ever going to get better. If I were them, I'd just quit while I'm in the pre-reveal phase and try for another company. That being said, I wonder how NijiEN being the containment zone for a Certain Type of vtuber will have an effect on the quality of other future vtuber gens in other places, since people who were initially preparing for Niji are now seeking other places....

Man, If Niji did anything right it was being the biggest quarantine for streamers who wanted anime avatars and not characters or idols. They're gonna fucking dilute every corpo's pool with that stuff, for shame.

No, Nijisanji is good for being the filter for all the questionable personalities I wouldn't want to see in other companies. I don't want guys like Vox or Bandage in holostars, and I don't want women like Enna to try popping up in hololive. Nijisanji attracts those types since it's presumably easier to get in, but the more it becomes less enticing the more likely it is they'll start trying to force their way into the places I actually like.

All of the ones who are reasonably intelligent and sane will drop out after this fiasco, so I'm very interested in seeing what bottom of the barrel trash they have to scrape together to create a new gen.

I wouldn't. If I'm getting into kurosanji I'll have to negotiate. First off that 2% ain't flying with me so if they want me to sign their contract then they'll have to offer some perks like, stay and food covered during stay in japan and they also need to offer a better salary. Otherwise they can fuck themselves. However I do see a lot of fuckin seas being hired now because they're the only ones dumb enough to take 2%.

You never know how much you need quarantines for various hobbies and communities until you lose them. Look what fucking happened to the Internet at large when Tumblr basically killed itself by banning NSFW.

I’ve seen a lot of dumb shit in the aftermath of her termination like some of you are actual neets who never finished high school living in a basement dumb but this is some real shit. Niji is the tumblr of vtuber organizations there’s no better way to describe it

Yes. Only bad chuubas have ever considered joining Nijisanji. Rotten companies, hiring rotten talents, bringing in rotten fans.

>> No.68285158

Why would you feel bad for anyone intentionally trying to get hired at Niji? Their negative reputation is incredibly well known and nobody in their right mind should pursue it. You'd have better success being an indie. Don't feel bad for people who willingly walks into a trap.

Going corpo isn't worth it anymore.
Aside from hololive(different contract structure) 90% of your favorite corporations are like this:
>Independent Contractor type contract
>No salary
>Rules/Guidelines and support similar to that of employment, but they still classify talents as contractors. (Its very easy to get away with this, companies due it for tax reasons but stuff like this usually goes against independent contractor's rights which is why you seem a lot of small corps implode over contractual issues)
>Debut package (Consists of things like a Live2D model, overlays, sometimes a song cover/original, alerts, and other etc material required to debut)
>OCCASIONAL UPGRADES AND SUPPORT (emphasis on occasional. They'll cover songs and some assets but streamers under corporations usually still spend thousands of their own money a year on their stream operations and updates)
tldr; being corpo is not as appealing as it used to be. With companies consistently imploding, talents leaving the company making corps look sketchy, and just the general quality of being indie tends to be better than that of agency VTubers, most people who are serious about wanting to be a VTuber are more interested in staying indie now.

I actually applied for Niji back in 2022 when they opened (Like in August I think) and I actually made it to the second round, all on an account of a lost bet. I was watching a lot of Selen back then and thought "hell if I can make it then maybe just maybe there is a chance..." but then I didn't take the second round seriously so there is that.

Seeing how shit is behind the scenes I'd have probably been fired within a week if not less.
