I loved the /here/ stream. I thought it was fucking hilarious and top-kino as the kids say. It endeared me to her.

Not true. There were plenty of anons, me included, who didn't have hobbies outside /v/ or /a/, while being semi-active members of society with a job. vtubers are great at showing that there are different kinds of people out of there, and some women are alright.
Hell, even other people aren't boring if you listen to them. Most of my colleagues have plenty of interesting life stories, and I don't need to donate to interact with them.
So, if anything, vtubers are the reason I'm actively searching for offline friends and gf.
