On the topic of subgrowth, I think it's fair to say that the insane Shigure Ui Loli Kami subtrain has finally come to a halt, in the end leaving her at a station between Okayu and Kuzuha at 1.7M subs.

Given that she started the run at 895k subs, she didn't quite manage to double her total in the end, gaining 805k all up. She leapfrogged more than 50 big-name vtubers and I think is quite comfortably the top indie now. I wonder when we'll ever see another phenomenon as large again?

I wonder what is the best way to help a vtuber gain numbers? besides bots, how would (you) "spam" her content so she gets more exposure?

i post vtubers i watch in some discord servers that have vtuber channels, like in anime or (japanese) game servers. i dont involve myself in vtuber centered servers because there are always schizos and moles
i also share them in several threads (when it's relevant) and participate in several generals to keep activity up; there's a surprising number of anons who do visit generals and discover a talent they like and start watching

in my opninion, i think the most effective way to shill any vtuber is clipping, as it's more digestable content for a casual person. i personally dont consume shorts, i dislike (very) short format content; but several minute long videos and even basic editing (as basic as subtitling) has made me watch new vtubers

Clip channel. The secret sauce, though, isn't to only clip your favorite chuuba in the hopes of getting a viral clip from her that finally gets you into the algorithm, but instead to clip someone who's already famous so you get baseline attention and then include your favorites as well to expose them to the wider audience.
