1 - Close discord before starting stream. There's nothing for you to look in there while you stream.
2 - If you have to show a browser window for whatever reason make sure it's ALWAYS an incognito window
3 - Don't bookmark stupid websites that can get you in trouble if you somehow accidentally show your real browser
4 - In fact, don't have your browser open with stupid shit while you stream.
5 - Also don't have stupid shit on your desktop either. You can hide the icons on your desktop by right clicking on Windows and going to View, and then select Show desktop icons to clear the checkmark.
6 - Also, be wary of widgets on the start menu or in certain browsers' starting page. Some of those, like the wheather widget and the one that shows traffic will dox you and it's really easy to forget they're there and showing sensitive information.

Accidentally showing discord, the browser, and sometimes even the desktop has been the biggest source of rrats for idiots at corpos. Better get use to taking care of that now and build that habit!

Some things to evaluate:
- Will it grant you access to connections you can't get right now?
- Will it allow you to produce content that you cannot make right now?
- Will the benefits and experience acquired carry over after graduating? Would you be willing to leaving as soo as it doesn't benefit you anymore?
- Will the corpo help you with stuff you're not willing to deal with yourself? Or are you the type of person who prefers being fully involved with all things (think merch, sponsors, and so on, anything that is not strictly your content)

It's very very cute to see chuubas accidentally leaking their browsing history and it shows thread tabs egosearching but maybe avoid this.
All chuubas do this but most hide it well enough that only hints and jokes and talking points get referenced which gives plausible deniability.

My biggest piece of advice for anyone becoming a vtuber is that if you manage to reach a point where it comes up, please for the love of god never, ever, EVER get involved with a fan discord. It doesn't matter who you are or what kind of content you make, wannabe groomers and attention whores are still going to try and use it to get closer to you, and the more you interact with them, the more the fancord becomes a ticking time bomb of petty drama and the actual kind of schizophrenia that will haunt your career. I have never once seen it turn out to be a positive influence on anyone involved.

If for whatever reason it must exist, you do want to be in it to keep an eye on things, but keep any interactions with it limited to updates and blog post type stuff. If you end up joining a corpo that allows or encourages members to interact with a fancord (honestly a red flag about the competency of its management), be prepared to get hit by even secondhand petty drama and schizophrenia.

It is never worth it.

These will make the cord and they will be too desperate to be able to tell who is a parasocial schizo and who isn't. A good way to groom is to find a 1view, get in her good graces but don’t give her money so you don’t get simpzoned.
Then use VPNs to make other accounts and attack her with them. This way you can make her more clingy and insular, keeping her on her toes. If you can get made mod first then you can cycle through these different accounts regularly, just make sure you never attack her with something that only you would know do she doesn’t get suspicious.
No one hear would ever do such a thing but it is something to watch out for waspies; people in this thread can help protect you from such schizos like that I’m sure.

Don't let the one person go into details about their personal life, if it does it seems like you two are talking while chat is in the background which could be off putting for new viewers. Try to keep the conversation going in way other people could join in. Despite no one else talking say "what about you guys" stuff like that.
