I have a vision for a common ina pose but using an artist that I think would work great with, which is kozaki_yuusuke. NTA, but you can probably get more defined back by rolling the prompt gacha. The problem might be that most of Kozaki Yuusuke's art in danbooru has very flat colors so that is what you get usually.

Mixture of inpainting and RNG, yeah. I'm defining a general area I want the character to land in and use SEGS inpainting to add the character to a generated background. It's completely automatic, so there are some that just have their legs go into the ground, but it's pretty smart, so it works more often than not.

Yeah, I messed up. I was trying to do this with sdxl encodes at the time of writing that and I somehow thought I was always using those.

It's actually not as simple to use SDXL encode, as the choice (so {a|b|c}) gets selected independently in text_g and text_l. You'd probably be able to hand it in from outside, but the standard CLIPTextEncode is much simpler to use for this, and is also what I used(for the most part. I don't wanna look through all the pics and see if one of them was made during my testing of the XL node)

In Conclusion: Just use the normal textencode, not the xl one, I'm sleep deprived and can't even remember my own workflows anymore.

I think I'm gonna head to bed now.

Ah I think I figured it out. I figured from the filename its supposed to be one of the temp results of background images created, but when it ran through the SEGS Detailer to add the character, it would do nothing
For some reason the SolidMask node that came with the workflow saved with a value of 0, but setting it to 1 actually starts creating characters. I assume this is the problem; I was scratching my head wondering where exactly I was going wrong since you said it should be completely automatic

I just use that to easily paint the mask that defines the area the character will be in. You could use any way you want to get a mask, I just find it easiest this way. As for what image, preferably something that's the same size as your image BEFORE the upscaling, but it's also fine to use whatever, as the maskComposite(that should be in all of them?) will either add to or clip the mask to make it fit(Keep in mind that it might change the relative position and size of your mask in that case.)

I just use one of the backgrounds generated by the first KSampler. Hope I didn't ramble too much.

I really should start labeling my workflows. The solid mask is just an empty mask of the correct size and I composite the mask I draw in the LoadImage Node into it. Honestly, it's probably stupid to do it that way, but it was the quickest way I found for changing the resolution on the fly without picking a different image every time.

The important part is to have a mask with a value >0 that gets sent to the SEGS node. Where that comes from, and what shape it has is up to you.

Probably the biggest change is in the upscale latent process, having to change the amount of steps done. Otherwise I would get La Creaturas like picrel. Sadly this also slows the whole gen way the fuck down.

You can search on google for DMT entities. Just geometric-shaped, psychedelic, creature-like things.
My biggest gripe with lora training for XL is that the samples created during training are wildly better than the end result. I'm not an expert but this might be because during training it uses the full model and then something bad happens when it extracts the lora from the model.

I'm back. Had to sift through around 500 images(though it's always pairs of before and after face detailer), but I'm done. And it's too many to put them all here (~80 images), so I'll just link the album again, and post some of my faves on their own. I've tried to only pick the best, but there might be a few errors I missed. Might delete them from the album if I spot them afterwards.

What he said. Also, if I img2img before upscaling, I would still have to do it afterwards as well, as I use latent upscale right now. So it would increase the total time. And as I just let it gen for hours on end today while I wasn't at home, this step would have been pretty much wasted, as I couldn't have cancelled it even if it was bad.
