Mel already explained why she got fired, her cat died, and she vented to a friend outside the company and complained about things she wasn't allowed to talk about under NDA. It was a harmless mistake but if they let it fly there's be a precedent for NDA breaches to be looked over thus any future NDA's could be lawsuits for wrongful termination. They might rehire Mel under a new identity
