This is what /vt/ have been telling me for years, but what specific meds am I supposed to seek?
Or should I go to my psychiatrist and say "My anime girl started talking to me"?

Avoids any types of meds that make you stop thinking and feeling emotions.
They are a trap to steal your life.

The answer lies in following your emotions, and revisiting your past to release all the stored negative emotions, and then rewrite your beliefs.

Depends on the meds. If it's uppers just decrease the dosage a bit. If it's downers then probably keep taking as instructed. If it's ssri mood stabilizers then take as instructed until you find a better outlet for the voices in your head, I recommend writing fanfic. You can ween yourself off them if you work on hammering in a routine that keeps your mental focused on productive things but if you're/here/ I'm not so sure you'd even be interested.

>The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea and vomiting, weakness, and frequent urination. Vitamin D toxicity might progress to bone pain and kidney problems, such as the formation of calcium stones.

Try to avoid SSRIs, especially the older ones. These days, I can only fap once every 12 hours, even with tadalafil. Feelsfuckingbadman.

It’s quite surprising that so many chamas here are familiarized with those meds.
Could you even get your hands on them without prescription by doctor?
And do you believe some of ENs, other than IRyS, taking tranquilizer pills regularly?

IRyS went through a super stressful period back in 2022 (IIRC). She said that she lost sleeps and experienced drastic mood swings (to the point that she once broke down in happy tear once while reading SC just because a SC told her they love her in a typical "We love you" way). Visited the doctor and got prescribed some mood stabilizers - no idea exactly what those were, though.
She has gotten much better ever since so she stopped taking them long time ago, though

It's kind of scary how meds can change a person. Even if it makes me a better and more productive person, is it really me, or is it just the pill? I'd rather deal with the source of the problem than cover it up if I had to pick.

You are dealing with the source of the problem. Your body has a chemical imbalance. Positive thinking and cold showers won't change that.

It just comes off as a quick way to change a person, as if the concept of the self is a very fragile thing. That chemical imbalance is part of a person, whether they like it or not, and it comes off as both odd and too convenient to get rid of certain traits from taking a pill. If the body has a chemical imbalance, in my case, I'd prefer to learn how to live with it and adapt to the issues.

It's one of those things where I get why it's done, but it's also unnerving, not just in how it can change a person but at how common this stuff is. Not to mention stories of people just feeling numb from taking some of them. But fuck it, maybe I care too much about some dumb principle rather than the reality of the situation.

Bullshit mentality. And I know, because I used to have the exact same way of thinking. Ended up being an actual hikkikomori right after high school and leeching off of my parents because of untreated ocd and social anxiety. For six fucking years. Never again, so I'm sticking with being medicated.
