The thing I love about Kiara?
Her earnestness. She's so genuine, so intimate with people in a way that I think comes from how extroverted she is. She's the kind of person who will just sit next to you at a party and you won't have to worry about what you'll talk about because they will carry the whole conversation. She goes deep and sees nothing as sacred. She is a fan of Hololive & won't produce the kind of content she wouldn't herself enjoy, which shows she has a kind of respect for her own medium, if that makes sense. She's SO funny, she has this very weird outside-the-box way of looking at things, she comes up with the most strange tangents and just follows their own internal logic with total confidence that her audience is keeping up with her, it gives that kind of feeling you get from anime like Lucky Star or Yuyushiki where it reminds me of the strange hypothetical conversations I used to have with my nerdy friends as a kid, where she'll just be playing Animal Crossing and she'll be like "wait isn't that kind of weird?" about some specific element of the story and it's just so pleasant to laugh at the things she notices that I would have otherwise overlooked. I just get this really intimate nostalgic feeling watching Kiara, like she's exactly the kind of girl I would have fallen for hard when I was younger, she's this blend of "manic pixie dream girl" in the way she yanks people out of their comfort zones (in collabs for instance), and authentic nerd who loves "hidden gem" media and wants to strongly recommend you that one anime you've never heard of that she personally thinks is amazing. She's just fucking great dude. Everything about her is just exactly what I love in a girl. She's my dream girl. And all I gotta do is just tune in and watch her play video games and listen to her adorably babble at them and chase bizarre tangents and I don't have to say a word, or lift a finger, or sustain a relationship. It just rules, it fills me with love.

And your goals can evolve and change as life goes on. I actually picked up a second language that I've been working on and making a lot of progress because I got the little bit of extra motivation I needed from hearing her jokingly roast her chat for it. It's not like she singlehandedly inspired me to do it - the dream was already in me, but all I really needed was that little extra push and she provided that for me.

I used to write and draw a lot when I was a kid but I never pursued either, so I already have a lot of respect that you've even got this far. I still do art but in odd ways that are just for hobby. Like I'm really good at painting miniatures for tabletop games. Before all this quarantine stuff I was actually picked in the top 20 out of like 400 people at one of the big national Warhammer 40k tournaments for best painted army. I have superchatted her a few times. The first time I was just trying to think of something nice to say, like a very specific compliment, so I just told her how much I love her sense of humour. She seemed to like that a lot, I think she prides herself on her sense of humour because that one time she started ranting at that guy who was trolling her and started listing all her best qualities, "I'm funny" was the first thing that came to mind. So I just told her that and she seemed grateful for the compliment. I'm glad because I think she's really susceptible to praise and the more she hears compliments about certain things the more she considers them strengths of hers and plays to them. Second time I superchatted her was for New Years and I actually put an embarrassing amount of thought into that one, like I had a notepad open and was optimizing character count and drafted it into a few different versions of three thoughtful sentences, and I think it went over pretty well and made her happy. Partly Kiara is just really good at making you feel special when she responds to our superchats, so I'm sure I have fallen for her spell a little in how she made me feel like my words were reaching her. This is a bit of her natural charm. But I also do think everything she says is genuine, she's just good at genuinely expressing gratitude in a way that makes people feel special, and really does care about her fans, know what I mean? And yeah I have the timestamps to both of those message readings saved and I sometimes go back to it and smile just cause of the nice feeling of being able to express something to her and see her nice response. It's one of the ways she's very good at being an "idol," it's a real talent to be able to make your fans feel valued without having to be insincere.

Most of my Youtube is this. Gaming speedruns, Completionist, and I watch funny memes where clippers have started popping in, but the only exposure to Vtubers at all before I found Gura, and later Kiara was A.I. Games (which to me was just a novelty)
Unless the voice actor for these characters are speed runners and tactical gamers our lives just don't cross.
There's only a few things I have in common with Kiara. I have an attachment to Japan, I like playing video games and we're both trying really hard to make our dreams come true despite multiple setbacks.
All of this Japanese drama with Southeast Asia and so on...completely going over my head. I'm only here to WIN as hard as I can.

It's just a byproduct of Kiara wearing her heart on her sleeve. Regardless of what her emotion is, you feel it along with her.
It was probably a combination of disappointment that she wasn't told about this and that she wasn't approached for singing an idol/anime-like song, which is more her thing than Calli's.
Could she have acted more professionally? Yes. Is it the end of the world? No. We move on and that's that.

To be honest, KFPbros, sometimes I lose heart coming here. Not towards Kiara, but towards this place and the fanbase.
