roru she carried VOMS to where they are, it was never intended to be any big but they still had a lot of merchandise and collabs because of how big Pikamee was. She made the brand known internationally even.
But they weren't willing to help her grow even further, instead Gyaru was sabotaging her because he's an autist that wants VOMS to be forever small and something he does by himself, what else was she supposed to do?

Few of her Japanese fanbase gave her so much slack for her Isekai model, some even became permanent harassers and antis.
Her western fanbase stood beside her including during the wizard saga. She still has some dedicated JP fanbase though.
The only logical reason for having more western viewers is simply because she streams nearly 7 hours daily for seven months now at 8am JP time.
That's why also she hasn't collabed with a single JP streamer since her debut. No one is going to wake up at 7 am.

Neither side would have been able to make it alone, GYARI gave her a huge headstart by boosting her with his own fame and Pikamee carried it along by pulling in an EN audience back when there really weren't any EN vtubers.

I think a lot of you really overrate the Pikamee model. Gyari's art style is a little charming, sure, but I think Henya is a much cuter and polished design with better rigging. I don't know why everyone raises such a big fucking deal about this when she's the same person except now her face isn't frozen half the time.

I simply can't understand what issues people have with the Henya model. It doesn't make sense to me.

The face and area around the face is so busy, like gacha design in a very bad way. Instead of looking at the model and achieving a balanced state so I can focus on the stream, my eyes/brain are constantly fighting to make sense or trying to rationalize all the mess, so I can't truly relax.
If I had to explain is like, yes, I'm seeing there is a face there, I see the eyes and thats the hair, and some hair clips, and the wavy part, ok. But then some deep part of the brain stays doing some intensive process and you don't feel relaxed.
