I don't think she ever believed that, although I wouldn't be surprised if she and frankly everyone feels more vulnerable after this considering how cold and swiftly the hammer dropped. She's been through her own share of problems involving management and knows when she's in trouble. It's just that this is the closest she's ever been to witnessing
a termination. If she thought hololive is special-- something more than a regular company, Mel's sudden termination is the antithesis of that.

And she's in the position of managing honey pastel where one day she might have to make decisions like that, regardless of whatever vision she may have had for that group. I don't know, that's the kind of stuff that would give me pause.

Those fans were mistaken. I don't see how someone can draw that conclusion whether cover is public or private. Real idol companies operate similarly and can (and will) terminate contracts if justified no matter the generation. Good stream. She was very cute but you could tell she's still feeling down about the whole thing. Part of the reason why she wanted to do a quick zatsu I suppose.
I hope that she can recover and be her usual energetic self again

Sad to see though that the threads seem to be just as shit as always. Been too busy lately to watch all of festival's stuff (or just skipped content I don't personally care about) so I've been out of the loop with the threads too for a good while now. Every now and then when I'm able to catch a stream it's been good stuff but whenever I check the thread it's mostly a mess.
Things were a lot comfier when there were no resident schizos around ruining the threads constantly. That or rm fags and the like posting unrelated shit all the time. I used to be here bumping hourly but I don't really see the point anymore if this is what it is nowadays

Anyways, I'll keep watching Matsuri whenever I can and there's a good stream on. The start of this year has certainly been better than the end of last year so hoping for more fun streams.
Very unfortunate with the whole Mel thing though. I was shocked too. The year was off to a good start and now this.

One thing that I came to appreciate is that the company is so siloed that the girls have next to no awareness of new hires and especially the homos, basically like a regular ass company. Check Matsuri's rust guerrilla stream where the gambling club was born and you can catch a rare glimpse of the girls being as close to normal on stream as we've ever seen, starting with Matsuri and Fubuki talking about the then newly debuted Axel and speculating that he "is definitely Japanese". That whole stream was as fascinating as it was funny.

All that to say I wouldn't read into it too much. They've had some good interactions since then but really nothing we haven't seen before. People following each other is just a meaningless social media gesture given all other possible forms of communication.
