What do you guys think? Is it coming sooner rather than later? When do you think the first hologal will actually just say "you know what, Im getting a bit too old for this, I should probably leave". Surely these women won't stay into their mid 30s to 40s doing this right? I doubt they'll even stay till their late 20s.

most hololive members as they age and stream more drop a lot of the act/character and turn into streamers that also do idol activities. Just because she isn't playing into her character anymore doesn't indicate anything about retirement. I doubt they do this shit if they really didn't enjoy it considering it's a whole lifestyle with spending a lot of their days recording or streaming and then hanging out with their friends who are their co-workers. This is probably her dream come true for her in particular for both a job and a lifestyle.

for Hololive at least I can definitely see a few transitioning from streamer to essentially being a seiyuu of their character. Heavily cut down or straight up remove streaming content to focus on music/brand deals/preformances.

Marine becoming a hag has only made her feel like shit, and she didn't really talk about it at 31. But there are a bunch of them who are genuinely afraid they may legit end up not getting married of having kids. Which is a real possibility, plenty of western women bemoan being unable to have kids and being alone at 40 or near 40 because freezing eggs doesn't always work, a few stories may talk about some amazing life of meeting the dream man at 38 and having a kid at 41, but those aren't normal and it's cutting things extremely fine with lots of options for failure.

People may pretend that 30 - 40 is a long way away, but Pekora has already been doing this for 5 years. That is if she started as a hag she would now be halfway to 40 while still doing this with no sign of a family. Marine wanting kids/marriage is just the most blatent, tip of the iceberg. Also factor in girls like Bae talking abotu parents asking about her dating/marrying, and remember that EN is also mostly Asian girls to Asian parents. Imagine the pressure behind the scenes when mom and dad give no fuck about your numbers because subs and money won't give them grandchildren to hold.
