Hire good management, and make it a company policy to have a good reputation over looking for profit. Some obvious measures to start doing that:
>No more cheap merch. Involve the talent in the merch creation/design process and give them a higher percentage of sales for it (at least 25%)
>No more favoritism. Give each talent their spotlight and their merch releases regardless of their numbers
The wider vtubing community doesn't like the idea of shitting on individual talents, they only shit on the corpo. Fix the corpo reputation and win.

Management transparency is the number one step. You're long past the stage where you can pretend to ignore all the speculation flying around while everything burns down around your ears. Explain why you're taking actions and why it isn't the worst case scenario everyone imagines, with goals to meet. Let your talents talk about management issues. Frame it as a issue it's completely your responsibility to tackle, but you're watching audience feedback every step of the way, and actually cite what feedback you're watching with associated posts and why. That way even if it goes wrong, the viewers take some of the blame. Basically the Western indie community game dev management method. That might save you for a while.

This is vtubing. It’s content creation. Reputation matters. There’s nothing NijiEN can do, because whatever they could do would take so much resources and so much time for people to forget about all their past mistakes that it would be more cost effective to give up and merge it with the main branch.
If they wanted to fix the problems, they should have changed how they operate from the very beginning and never accelerate in the first place. The males they ended up hiring were completely unprepared for their female fanbase, so they’ve struggled to even get that part right.
It’s all a mess, and it all stems from the entire way they run their company and mass-hire talents for a developing market that doesn’t have enough people who know corpo vtubing culture to sustain that level of talent spam yet.
