Hi, day 1 Pomie here (wish I found her sooner). Pomu is great, but it sometimes might not be immediately apparent why. She's a good streamer, and understands how vtubing should work sure, but thats not the biggest point. She loves the things she enjoys with her entire being, and that level of enthusiasm is infectious. Coming from the Love Live fandom, I was pretty anti-wota until seeing Pomu's passion for it and why it's good. I've never been to a maid cafe or chika idol show, and likely never will, but I will listen to her talk about them for hours on end.

I was there for her debut and was generally intrigued with what she had to bring to the table. I watched her for a while and had a good time for the most part. However, one thing I picked up early on was how pitiable her life seemed, or perhaps that was just how she portrayed her life to her audience which made it came across that way. I remember even making a list of all the shitty things that happened to her when she told of them in her streams, but I ended up dropping it cause it was a rather silly thing to do. It was as though her whole existence was underpinned by some sort of chronic cosmic misfortune or karmic malaise. It was almost as if she had reached the platonic ideal of becoming a tragic heroine and, well, I suppose that hasn't really changed.

I like her personality, her humor, how she has deep knowledge for some niche subjects and generally behaves like a /jp/ oldfag pre ironic shitposting era. Also how she was interested in trying some games like Doom (when barely any vtuber played it, besides korone or a few indies) or MGS (way after the old holo MGS arc but before the recent trend).
Basically she's relatable to oldfag otaku/games interests and she has that special creativity a few people like Mito or Haachama have.
