/corpo/ is an inherently doomed thread that was tricked into thinking it was good.
inherently, we talk about small corpos without their own threads. this means we're limited to the corpos with no large fanbase and little in the way of a future. nobody believes in specialite or globie - hell, i'm sure half of the thread can't tell them apart. even if the chuubas are good, nobody cares enough to passionately shill them, and nobody would care enough to listen either; why bother getting into vicky if she could disappear a month from now and not show up until next winter?
the "thread divas" historically kept us connected, breathing a positive atmosphere into the thread and keeping the dream alive. people like pam and woomy were utterly beloved, and the dominance they had over the thread got more people to check them out, which only kept the fire burning. when one of them disappeared for a few months, it didn't really matter, her fans would sit it out and check out some of the other /corpo/ girls since the mood was still being held up and the outlook was generally optimistic.
when beryl graduated, the slack was picked up by woozie, who had been clearly cut out as the next centerpiece for a few months at that point. then she fucking graduated too a month later, and there was nobody in line to catch us. even now, we don't really have anyone in /corpo/ to take up that role. the closest thing to that "stand-out girl from an otherwise ignorable company" energy that we have today is probably lillian, but she was kneecapped immediately by the fact that it's unquestionably very funny to have another dragon maid as the face of the thread. that also means we got slapped with the same "hat trick" that 2022 /pkg/ did, except we didn't even have remaining chuubas to love, which repeatedly drained morale while bringing in the absolute worst specimens of the catalog. even if the tourists are gone now, some of the dramafags are integrated with the thread, and any newfags from that era don't know any better.
we can only be a good thread by cheating. we aren't the small corpo thread, we're the woomy and friends thread, or the beryl and friends thread, or the vreverie and friends thread, or the akio air and friends thread. a thread about doomed small corpos needs to be held together by something other than doomed small corpos. we are six months into the storm and i don't think we are coming out alive.

these aren't the people that livepost about streams. you need to really really love your chuuba to spam screenshots of their stream and talk about missing them when they aren't streaming. anyone in /corpo/ that's predisposed to doing that is currently waiting on someone that they really miss (since otherwise they'd just be in their wife's new thread instead of here) so it's a bit uncomfortable to put that much trust into someone again when you're currently experiencing the bad outcome. not only that, but it's really hard to trust small corpos at a time like this, because even if they're actually pretty good they're coming right off the back of the star ring collapse, akioair drama, and now the vreverie drama, which proved that a company can look fine or even good but then be doomed to fail.
you can get people in /corpo/ to like your chuuba but you aren't going to get the contagious excitement that makes discussing a hobby actually feel worth it. this'll fix itself if we ever manage to go a good few months without any graduations or implosions, but with the way the scene is looking i'm not going to count on it.

there were a lot of punished dragonfuckers in woozie's chat for what little time that was possible. and really, woozie never stopped being a face of /corpo/, berylbros were just drowning out woozlings by so much that it was hard to notice. i did misword it though, it wasn't woozie being the next big deal, it was woozie continuing to be a big deal after beryl stopped being an even bigger deal.

see the first paragraph, but also: liveposting is mainly a big corpo thing because in a small corpo you can just talk in chat and directly interact with the chuuba. you only get small corpo liveposting if a viewer has something they can't say on stream, like really needing to confess their love a hundred times over, or thinking about sex. they need a reason to post something here to get the ball rolling before they start blogging the entire stream experience.
it also helps if it feels like a community experience, which means you need more viewers for more liveposting, but that's a bit of a catch-22 because liveposting is the best way to accumulate viewers.
