Why yes, you're exactly right. Why should I care otherwise? The truth is, you can be the most talented, the most resourceful, the most clever entity in the entertainment industry but if you don't have the exposure you'll never get anywhere.

Simply put, the market is beyond oversaturated and I as a consumer have no desire to navigate the sea of twitter pre-debut whiny bitches too ugly to be e-thots (or in some cases, female).

Hololive is where you win. I can look at hololive talents and be almost sure they're entertaining. I can watch content without having to think about drama or the next graduation. If you're not in Hololive, you might as well not exist. Other coperations might exist, but you're getting only crumbs from them.

The blue triangle means you're worth watching. It means you are not a waste of my time. And more importantly, it means you won't be gone the next day or be found in a ditch.

Without the triangle, you are nothing. No one knows you exist. You're fated to an uneventful, empty graduation. Play the game or be consumed by it.

The answer is simple. They just aren't entertaining enough. If they were more entertaining, they would be able to capture and retain any new viewer that stumbles on the channel and this would lead to natural exponential growth. But if they're not entertaining, some viewers will lose interest over time and stop watching while some new viewers will replace them, but this just leads to stagnating in 2view hell. Retaining the viewers is the hard part and that can only be done by being entertaining enough for them to come back.

Because being a streamer isn't easy, yeah yeah "play videogames and win money, if you're a girl is even easier" if it would be that easy everyone would be streamers. You have to be good at streaming, do it constantly, self-advertising in every social media and the most important, have luck. Most advice from big streamers (vtubers especially) is "take it easy, make your own content when you can", of course if you want to live in failure maybe that's the option, taking 4 days off as a small streamer can be the end of your career. As a person who is there to entertain, you are a simple click that you see for a certain period of time, if you disappear for a period of time, even if it's short, you can completely kill the interest of your small audience. Vtubers are really lucky that in some way there's the "my oshi" thing in the community, because vtuber fans usually get more invested in just one person and they don't leave that easily, but at the end they might end up doing it anyways. The same with the content, vtubers have luck that the "let's watch the vtuber doing whatever she wants and support her projects" exists, or the would have to find their niche and stay there until they are big enough to do whatever they want. This case sounds really messed up, 3 years is too much time for just 30-40 ccv, that means that maybe she's not tryharding enough or that she's not taking streaming as something she wanna make a living from or idk, but at least she has some viewers

I had a browse through this girl's last few vods and she has the same problem ever 1view and 2view has:
She's FUCKING BORING. When she plays a game she focuses in on the game and mumbles something every 30 seconds. When she collabs sometimes she can match energies but it's mostly the other people instigating. She tries to interact with chat but she it's more responding than leading the engagement. There are chaotic moments and she has a good scream but it rarely comes out, because the base state is slow low energy. I've watched no-cam let's plays more interesting than her. The fucked up part is she has a 1-mil view TikTok and 87k views on one of her song covers. But this has poisoned her into thinking her next songs are doing badly, when in fact having 2-4k on a cover is amazing for an indie of her size. So I think she has what it takes, just not as a streamer. I'd strongly recommend she learn to mix / edit vids to decrease the cost of her covers, and take the utaite route. If you want to grow quickly its more about them meta, which is currently ASMR, more specifically GFE ASMR. Normally that needs to reflect in normal streams as well which means being unicorn friendly and going no males near streams, vods, etc.

The ASMR should also be on YT not twitch as twitch ASMR is mainly populated by AVtubers who have paid content on other sites and get off on having sex during ASMR on twitch.

Asking other content creators is a mistake as they won't tell you what they did to hit success because even if they like you, you are their competition, you compete for people to watch you

You should also focus interaction on your current audience to maintain viewers. The problem is that most women don't know how to be interesting. They're so used to people pining for them for just being women. In a competitive environment they're lost and confused.
In the real world, even a 2/10 has orbiters, but in the vtubing scene most orbiters are soaked up by a few prominent stacies. (Outside of corpos.) There's no hope for any personal connection anyway, so why bother with the bottom 2views? Add to the fact that you need like high 2view to even make ends meet and it's a recipe for tragedy.
