Not shitposting, but I have a hard time believing that this won't be the last year for about half the branch.
I think Elira will be too lonely without Pomu, I think Finana won't be able to be the last member of lazulight mentally and will quit as well.
I think Rosemi will struggle without Pomu or Selen there.

That leaves zuttomo, the boys, Iluna, xsoleil and TTT.
TTT are great but the reputation of the branch is so low they're struggling to get views. Iluna and xsoleil don't really organize collabs and neither do zuttomo. Ennas also been kinda checked out, in 2023 alone she literally took 6 months off.
If my predictions are right, the ship has holes in it and is starting to flood. There are buckets that have been deployed to help reduce it but nobody is able to repair the damage itself.
And I'm not some anti or troll, I'm just saying, I have a hard time seeing the branch move past this and I'm not the only one.

I think people overestimate the "friendship" Rosemi has with Pomu and Selen. It hasn't been as strong as the Lazusydia days. Sure it will get her down, but she also bought into the NijiEN family.

The thing is that Elira and Pomu have been close as can be since before lazulight. Elira was literally sending Pomu gifts and talking about marrying her while they were both indies.
Elira is confrontation averse but I don't know if she'll be able to make it two years without being able to collab with Pomu or talk to her publicly.

As far as Rosemi goes, if you go through every collab she's done in the past couple of months you'll see that they all have a reoccurring theme, either Pomu or Selen are involved/there. I don't think that's a coincidence by any means. You also had the whole Woo Girls thing. If Elira is gone too I don't think Rosemi will stay.
Like Rosemi obviously doesn't hate enna, Millie, Reimu, Finana or anyone else but I can't see for a second a reason for her to stick around if everyone she really was comfortable around ends up leaving too.

I think that's an overstatement but I have publicly said here I think Rosemi lied about "loving" Selen and her and Finana are the livers I watch the least from the walled garden days, but sure. I don't get the vibe they are super close or anything, but it could just Pomu and Selen getting along with most everyone, more Pomu, but Pomu-Selen and Pomu-Elira interactions feel more special.

And you're free to cross reference her channel if you want but almost every collab has either Selen or Pomu in it. Selen also paid for rosemis theme and chibi model. One of the most iconic things about Rosemi was commissioned by Selen.
Selen doesn't ever feel like she's close to people, even towards the end of 2023 we saw less pomulen stuff but I think Selens just not good at expressing emotions. It's no secret though that one of the only offcollabs we ever got was Woo Girls
Obsydia as a whole only did an offcollab with the rest of the branch in Japan. I think Selen and Rosemi are closer than they'd ever let you know.

Judging how Selen interacts with Pomu, to how she interacts with Rosemi is a night and day difference. They feel like closer friends, or at the very least like they were close for a while, closer than I'd say anyone that interacts with Selen from NijiEN. Meanwhile from the time I watched her, Rosemi seems pretty distant unless she's offcollbing - to me it seemed she had more fun in that Besties off collab, which I believe was her first off collab, than she ever has with Selen, woo girls included.

I do think that yeah, Elira will follow Pomu.

I don't think the branch will shutdown at all. I do think that with luxiem and noctyx around still they'll make a profit, not to mention if they do anything actually special with zuttomo such as an album or live concert (assuming enna doesn't leave).
But I think a lot of people are gonna be gone by 2025. I have a hard time thinking otherwise knowing just how close elira and Pomu are and how unwilling finana is to be the center of anything let alone the only person left in her wave. Especially since pufferfeesh will be dead and her and Elira hardly talked. Oceanlaw will also be dead (even though they never collabed that much to begin with).
And it's not like it brings me happiness to think about because honestly those first two years were really special to me. I fell in love with a dragon who played Alice Madness Returns and even was one of the ones who donated $200 to make her play phas.

I've watched Elira since debut and remember stuff like her getting nervous about lazulight saying "cock" on stream during their first apex collab.

No. But Lazulight and obsydia pulled me out of a deep depression. I genuinely thought I was done with vtubers after being so burned out on the constant "fake nice" feeling I got watching hololive.
I had genuine fun watching the games they'd play, the interactions they'd have, I remember watching Selen loot everywhere she could in the server. I remember watching killer klowns from outer space with her live. I remember even live posting about the movie with some other anons.
I still have a copy of her unarchived karaoke stream from back then as well as her bento making stream.

Selen made me happy, NijiEn made me happy. Everyone was happy to be there too back then. It's shitty that things ended up this way. I was really excited for this year and maybe even seeing Woo Girls become an official unit....
