No specific fetish tag is written by more than a couple of people. I only remember one with Okayu and Korone that wasn't anything special and not really talked about, so I might have missed more of the panning. But Hedonists Reckoning did pretty well back in the day, so maybe it's less about a specific dislike for spanking and more that about anons prefer it as a tool to have self inserts correct chuubas who deserve it. Yes, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, dark themes aside. NTA but honestly I think the dearth of Rushia fics post graduation is less to do with what she's been doing and more from the lack of story ideas that fit her character. Because both her and Coco have both run out of 'oshi love' fic material since their successors are effectively supersets of their personas. So what's left is scenarios that use the 'character', which even pre-graduation Rushia lacked since the material for her was basically 'semi-stable yandere', 'rushia the necromancer', and part of the gen 3 ensemble

Good-ish. I've realized I've been writing Botan wrong for a while now. I watched a clip of her and Watame and I forgot just how much of an absolute goofball she is. She has to be one of the silliest holos by far.

As I keep going with the story I'll look at the clip and others more often. This will also mean that I am going to have more watame-botan moments in act 2 since they play off each other so well. The two are such a comedic duo.

It could be that she sees you as easy prey and only starts dating you because she wants to know what it feels like while also manipulating you / abusing you. Karaoke Night with IRyS and Kronii

Having made their way to some random karaoke bar, IRyS and Kronii are relaxing in the back, enjoying the performances of the other patrons. Some are actually quite good, but most are laughably bad. Already pretty deep into her drink Kronii excuses herself to the bathroom. Her friend away, IRyS took the opportunity to put herself down for a song, set to happen just a few songs from now. Kronii gets back with plenty of time to spare for the show she isn't aware is coming.

"And next up we have IRyS," the DJ calls. "Come on up here, IRyS, the stage is yours."

The sexy nephilim excitedly hops off her stool and makes her way to the front of the bar. She takes the mic with the confidence of a woman about to put this joint in its place. After a nod from the music man generic Van Halen song #652 starts playing. IRyS bops her head in time with the music and as the tension grows she rips into the opening of the song like no one but her could.

Instantly the crowd, Kronii included, is in her hands. She croons and keens, her angelic falsetto making David Lee Roth look the bitch he is. As the song rises she starts swinging her hips, her free hand sensuously drawing invisible sigils on her chest. The vocals, nothing but an excuse for Roth to talk about his dong, are not lost on the crowd, who are following IRyS's motions like they've been hypnotized. Her hand starts descending, just as she might from Tokyo Tower, inching ever closer to her crotch. Just as she tears into the chorus her hand hits it mark, her fingers grasping tightly and yanking hard. Her tear-away skirt is sent across the room, landing on some random dazed patron's head.

Realizing what has happened, every eye in the joint locks onto IRyS's waist, utterly taken by the tight and threadbare panties clinging tightly to her crotch. It can be a random karaoke bar with no further relevance to the plot, but saying that outright at the beginning gives an impression of arbitrariness - as if the story wasn't precise enough for its location to matter. The bar could at least have a name that gives the readers something, or be described in a way that's relevant to the plot or characters.

I know, I just said that it's better to not tell the reader that in plain language, even if it's true. Explicitly telling the reader something like that is the writing equivalent of being honest instead of polite, of bluntly telling someone "I don't care about how your day was" instead of being polite and pretending to care at least a bit. It can easily leave a bad impression.
And thinking about it, I feel like it's a bit of a missed opportunity to insert something relevant as the name of the bar, or the reason the characters go there. Names make an impression and can be used for characterization, themes, humour, foreshadowing, references...
But the simplest solution would be to just say that they're "at a karaoke bar", with maybe a simple adjective attached, instead of putting emphasis on the fact that the setting is not utilized in detail.

Not really sure what kind of story you could pry out of the concept. So far, my idea is that Anon is from a family of slaveowners, but he himself isn't really too familiar with how to actually be good at it. My 2 cents its that slaves are a really complex power dynamic to throw in the mix, and just putting them out there traps you in the "shitty isekai LN" territory where the author has no idea how to have the MC gain party members while being weak/unlikeable so the slave system is half assed, not clear and ends up being just a glorified maid.
Slaves need some edge. The relationship is edgy in of itself, so unless you commit to a story about how slave bad or slave good actually then you should commit to a story where the slaves are an accessory and not the main draw.

So with that in mind (and assuming you don't wanna write a rance-like story of you acquiring 40 sex slaves by tricking and raping them) why not have the slaves be either "enemy kingdom wives/hostages/slaves" or just be regular servants.

With a theme like slaves you either run with the concept and truly make it a fetish fic with the extreme stuff you the author want to run with the power dynamic and make it the core of the story or you should just avoid it rather than pussyfooting and ending up with, as you said, 'shitty light novel Volume 1 slave setup' syndrome.

I have no gripe with slave stories - in fact they're a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. What I don't like for the most part is that the human aspect of the power dynamic is rarely explored. It always tends to drift into the absurd.
Either the main is this goody-two-shoes who goes around and saves slave-girls because he's such a nice guy and the slaves all immediately fall in love with him cause he's the kindest soul they ever met.
Or the main is supposed to be "le ebil broken soul" who takes slaves he totally doesn't care about to aid him in his quest for revenge - yet he never actually treats them bad (at least in popular media) because being nice while having ulterior motives is miraculously always the "devilishly smart choice".

I'd like to see a setting where everyone is opportunistic. A main character who doesn't have absurdly noble or evil goals for taking slaves. Maybe he's just a low-ranking noble who can't be assed to do the housework.
A desperate slave using sex to better her position without being head over heels in love with her master for no reason at all.
The main character not refusing his slaves advances because he's so a morally sound guy. If a true romance grows out of that, sure - cool! But I wish authors would give the dynamic a bit more depth and character.

Honestly the safest/best posible scenario for a slave fic are either warring states period(where you can take wives out of the wazoo and can cope out on the rape by saying that your strategy/honor cock was too good) or "nobleman triying to get the state back together" where slaves are used as a way to offset labor costs and you are taking rival slaves too

These two allow you to take "morally correct" angles regarding slaves and also mitigates the whole...uuuh..slave thing by having the service be more or less reluctant as opposed to being straight up forced. These two also allow you to have a lot of sex.
In the end, the prompt is trashy in of itself, but wish fullfillment stuff can be fun if the author is actually going all out and not pussyfooting (Senko-san was conceived as a pure wish fullfillment story and it made it to mainstream)
