Nijisanji wants quiet mass produced streamers who do what they're told and don't cause trouble.
Unlike other corpos even the big veterans have barely any influence in Nijisanji.
It's not that they necessarily wanted Pomu to leave. Pomu, with her desire to do idol things and make NijiEN an actual competitor to HoloEN, was a nail that stuck out. Nijisanji tried to hammer it down, Pomu just decided to fuck off instead.
If Pomu stopped being an "uppity western whore" and kept her head down, satisfied with the bit of money that went her way and the occasional project Niji was content with letting her take part in, then they probably would have let her be.
